An Elegant Three-Day Château Wedding in the South of France

Wedding Selina & Nick — Château de Fontarèches

The Story

Selina and Nick, a German couple with an effortless sense of elegance, chose Château de Fontarèches for their wedding, a magnificent estate in the South of France that matched their style perfectly. Understated, refined, quietly sophisticated, their three day celebration unfolded entirely at the château, and every detail reflected who they are as a couple.

The weekend opened with a festive and elegant welcome party, pizzas and good energy setting the tone for what was to come.

On the wedding day, the ceremony took place in front of the château’s entrance, a majestic backdrop for a short and meaningful ceremony built around what truly mattered, including vow exchanges that left everyone moved. From there, the celebration moved into the château’s gardens for a lively cocktail hour, opened with a champagne fountain that immediately set a festive tone. The couple had flown in a DJ from Germany, a favorite of theirs, who got guests dancing from the very first songs of the cocktail. In the midst of it all, Selina and Nick slipped away for a private moment, discovering the dinner space together and capturing a sunset couple session that was simply beautiful.

Dinner was held under the stars in the château’s inner courtyard, strung with guinguette lights above a table dressed with clusters of grapes and delicate custom made stationery. Stone Roman heads placed along the table stole the spotlight more than once throughout the evening, adding a playful, unexpected charm to an otherwise refined and convivial dinner. The meal was prepared by caterer La Vallergue, whose refined cuisine drew on the flavors of the South of France.

As the evening went on, guests moved inside the château for the dance floor, where the bride changed into a second dress, playful and sparkly, perfectly suited for a night that carried on until the early hours of the morning.

The weekend closed with a poolside brunch at the château, a generous buffet, music playing and guests lingering as long as possible before saying their goodbyes. A wedding that was, in every sense, a complete success.
